BONUS EP 00: Celebrating History Makers: An Introduction to our Black History Month Series

Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - and we’re just two weeks away from the start of Black History Month.

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans dating back to 1915. Since the 1970s, every President has officially declared February as Black History Month, a celebration of black culture and heritage.

This year, I wanted 2050 TrailBlazers to contribute to the conversation. That’s why we’re launching the Black History Month - History Makers series.

I’m incredibly excited about this series - we’ll be releasing one episode a week for the entire month of February. We’re highlighting and elevating the history makers of today in the financial planning profession and beyond. Today, you’re getting a little bit of a sneak peek into what the conversations next month hold.

What You'll Learn:

  • What you can expect from next month’s Black History Month: History Makers series

  • Who will be featured in upcoming episodes

  • Why the conversation around culture, heritage, and DEI is so important - especially during Black History Month

  • Why we celebrate history makers from the past, and look to the movers and shakers of our time to elevate them, as well
